Nabeshima Peach Pattern Sake Cup-Guinomi
Nabeshima Momomon Guinomi
Hataman's skilled craftsmen have carefully drawn the peach pattern, a traditional pattern of Nabeshima, with extremely fine brush strokes.
By adding irregularities like bamboo knots around the waist, we are taking on the challenge of creating a new expression of the Nabeshima design by incorporating both the combed foot and the painting, which can be said to be the icon of Nabeshima ware, on the same surface.
The peach pattern, which is a symbol of longevity, is often used in Nabeshima designs, and various patterns remain.
In the Kojiki, there is a description that Izanagi threw a peach to exorcise demons, so the peach pattern, which is said to have spiritual power and ward off evil spirits, not only has the meaning of longevity, but also a talisman against evil spirits.
It is also recommended as a gift for your loved ones, and has a variety of patterns, making it a highly collectible and popular item.
Nabeshima Style
The aesthetic beauty of Nabeshima ware has been carefully preserved as a traditional rule since the Edo period, and the design is composed of one color of dyeing (blue) and three colors of red painting (red, yellow, green).
The extremely fine and carefully drawn lines are expressed with pale gradations layered over and over again, creating a dignified dignity.
The traditional Nabeshima pattern that was presented as a gift is a gorgeous design that allows you to feel the elegance of ancient Japan.
