Rose

Rose
The rose flower has many flower words that symbolize "love" and "beauty". The rose has a strong Western image, but it has been loved since the Nara and Heian periods, appearing in the "Manyoshu" and the "Kokin Wakashu" under the names "Umaya" and "Sobi". As for the pattern, the "high plate with overglaze rose pattern" produced by the Nabeshima clan kiln in the middle of the Edo period is famous.
