Since ancient times, the dragonfly has been a symbol of bravery since ancient times for its agile flying in the air and the way it only moves forward. It was often used to decorate weapons such as sword guards and jinbaori. In the Edo period, it became a kimono pattern for townspeople due to its interesting shape, and it is one of the patterns often used today.
