Nabeshima Vegetable-Filled-pattern Sake Cup-Sakazuki

We have redesigned the plate, which is a representative shape of Nabeshima ware that has been made since the 1600s as a tribute to the shogun family, into a cup of about 9 cm.

The large sake cups, which are carefully drawn with traditional Nabeshima patterns by skilled craftsmen with extremely fine brush strokes, are highly collectible Hataman's popular products.

Vegetable exhaustion pattern is a representative design that is frequently drawn as an original pattern of Nabeshima. By using vegetables and root vegetables that have grown abundantly as a motif, the pattern has a congratulatory meaning, such as the blessings of nature, bearing fruit, and rooting. A typical example is the “futamata radish” design, which means prosperity of descendants and prosperous business.

Nabeshima Style

The aesthetic beauty of Nabeshima ware has been carefully preserved as a traditional rule since the Edo period, and the design is composed of one color of dyeing (blue) and three colors of red painting (red, yellow, green).

The extremely fine and carefully drawn lines are expressed with pale gradations layered over and over again, creating a dignified dignity.
