[Special limited edition]

This is a special limited edition Nabeshima Guinen collection of which only 100 pieces are produced each year in conjunction with the Hizen Imari Pottery Festival (Spring Pottery Market).

The 2023 limited edition cup ``Nabeshima Iroe Momobun'' has a pattern that is representative of the Nabeshima style.

This year, the shape has been newly molded one by one using a potter's wheel, resulting in a thin and dignified finish. The painting is also carefully handcrafted by craftsmen, and the contrast between the dyed peach and the red painted floral pattern is a beautiful masterpiece.

Peaches originate from a legend that says that a fairy named Xi Wangmu, who appears in Chinese mythology, planted a peach tree in her garden that would only bear fruit once every 3000 years, and it was said that eating the fruit would extend your life. It became a symbol of longevity and was used as an auspicious sentence.

This is Hataman's popular collection, which has different designs every year.

Nabeshima Style

The aesthetic beauty of Nabeshima ware has been carefully preserved as a traditional rule since the Edo period, and the design is composed of one color of dyeing (blue) and three colors of red painting (red, yellow, green).

The extremely fine and carefully drawn lines are expressed with pale gradations layered over and over again, creating a dignified dignity.

The traditional Nabeshima pattern that was presented as a gift is a gorgeous design that allows you to feel the elegance of ancient Japan.
